Obtaining and Imparting Religious Information (Ilme-Deen) is Mandatory

1) Those men (hypocrites), - Allah knows what is in their hearts; so keep clear of them but admonish them, and speak to them a word to reach their very souls. (Surah 4, An-Nisa, Verse 63).
2)....sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong. On their account no responsibility falls on the righteous, but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may (learn to) fear Allah. (Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 68 Part and 69).
3) Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But continue to admonish them with it (Al-Quran).... (Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 70 Part).
4) And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the Book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him.  (Surah 18, Al-Kahf, verses 27).
5) O ye who believe! What is the matter with you, that, when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter. (Surah 9, Al-Tauba, verse 38).
6) Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place; but Him ye would not harm in the least. For Allah hath power over all things. (Surah 9, Al-Tauba, verse 39)
7) Go ye forth, (whether equipped) lightly or heavily, and strive and struggle, with your goods and your persons, in the cause of Allah. That is best for you, if ye (but) knew. (Surah 9, Al-Tauba, verse 42).
8) And those who strive in Our (cause), - We will certainly guide them to Our Paths: For verily Allah is with those who do right. (Surah 29, Al-Ankabut, verse 69).
9) Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change what is within
themselves. (Surah 13, Al-Ra’d, verse 11).
10) Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. (Surah 16, Al-Nahl, verse 125).
11) And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, except with means better (than mere
disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury): but say, "We
believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam)."(Surah 29, Al-Ankabut, verse 46).
