1) On no soul doth
Allah place a burden greater than it can bear: it gets every good that it
earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah or The
Heifer, verse 286 part).
2) And each soul will
be paid out just what it has earned, without (favour or) injustice. (Surah 3
Al-Imran, Verse 25 part).
3) Nor can a soul die
except by Allah’s leave, the term being fixed as if by writing. (Surah 3,
Al-Imran, Verse 145 Part).

who are slain in Allah’s way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance
from their Lord. (Surah 3, Al-Imran, Verse 169).

have a taste of death; and only on the Day of Judgement shall you be paid your
full recompense. (Surah 3, Al-Imran,
Verse 185 Part).
6) Whoever intercedes
in a good cause becomes a partner therein: and whoever recommends and helps an
evil cause shares in its burden: and Allah hath power over all things. (Surah 4
An-Nisa Verse 85).
7)... ‘He hath
inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy. That He will gather you together for
the Day of Judgement’.... (Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 12 Part).
8) In the end unto Him
will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did. (Surah
6, Al-An’am, Verse 60 Part).
9) ....no burden do We
place on any soul, but that which it can bear. (Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 152
Part).
10) He that doeth good
shall have ten times as much to his credit: he that doeth evil shall only be
recompensed according to his evil: no wrong shall be done unto them. (Surah 6,
Al-An’am, Verse 160).
11) Every soul draws
the meed of its acts on none but itself: no bearer of burdens can bear the
burden of another. Your return in the end is towards Allah: He will tell you
the truth of all the things where in ye disputed. (Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 164
Part).
12) Then (on the Day of
Reckoning) shall We question those to whom Our Message was sent and those by
whom We sent it. And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge,
for We were never absent (at any time or place). (Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, Verses 6
and 7).

the deeds of those who do wrong. He but giveth them respite against a Day when
the eyes will fixedly stare in horror; (Surah 14, Ibrahim, verse 42).
14) That Allah may requite each soul
according to its deserts; and verily Allah is swift in calling to account.
(Surah 14, Ibrahim, verse 51).

a term decreed and assigned beforehand. Neither can a people anticipate its
term, nor delay it. (Surah 15, Al-Hijr, verses 4-5)
16) And unto Allah leads straight the Way, but there
are ways that turn aside: if Allah had willed, He could have guided all of you.
(Surah 16, An-Nahl, verse 9).
17) To the righteous (when) it is said,
"What is it that your Lord has revealed?" they say, "All that is
good." To those who do good, there is good in this world, and the Home of
the Hereafter is even better and excellent indeed is the Home of the righteous,
- (Surah 16, An-Nahl, verse 30)
18) (They must be raised up), in order that He
may manifest to them the truth of that wherein they differ, and that the
rejecters of Truth may realise that they had indeed (surrendered to) Falsehood (Surah
16, An-Nahl, verse 39).
19) If Allah so willed, He could make you all
one people: But He leaves straying whom He pleases, and He guides whom He
pleases: but ye shall certainly be called to account for all your actions (Surah
16, An-Nahl, verse 93).
20) What is with you must vanish: what is with
Allah will endure. And We will certainly bestow, on those who patiently
persevere, their reward according to the best of their actions (Surah 16,
An-Nahl, verse 96).
21) Whoever works righteousness, man or woman,
and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and
pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their
actions (Surah 16, An-Nahl, verse 97).
22) Who receiveth guidance, receiveth it for
his own benefit: who goeth astray doth so to his own loss: No bearer of burdens
can bear the burden of another: nor would We visit with Our Wrath until We had
sent a messenger (to give warning).(Surah 17, Bani Isra-il, verse 15).
23) Come not nigh to the orphan´s property
except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength; and fulfil (every)
engagement, for (every) engagement will be enquired into (on the Day of
Reckoning) (Surah 17, Bani Isra-il, verse34).
24) And pursue not that of which thou hath no
knowledge; for every act of hearing, or of seeing or of (feeling in) the heart
will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning) (Surah 17, Bani Isra-il,
verse36).
25) Say, "The truth is from your
Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it) :(
Surah 18, Al-Kahf, verse 29 part).
26) Wealth and sons are allurements of the life
of this world: But the things that endure, good deeds, are best in the sight of
thy Lord, as rewards, and best as (the foundation for) hopes. (Surah 18,
Al-Kahf, verse 46).
27) Not one of you but will pass over it: this
is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished. (Surah 19, Maryam,
verse 71).
28) "And Allah doth advance in guidance
those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in
the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual
returns." (Surah 19, Maryam, verse 76).
29) Not one of the beings in the heavens and
the earth but must come to ((Allah) Most Gracious as a servant. He does take an
account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly. And every one of
them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment. (Surah 19, Maryam, verses
93-94-95).
30) We shall set up scales of justice for the
Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with
unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more
than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough
are We to take account. (Surah 21, Al-Anbiyya, verse 47).
31) Whoever works any act of righteousness and
has faith, - His endeavour will not be rejected: We shall record it in his
favour. (Surah 21, Al-Anbiyya, verse 94).
32) The
Day that We roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed),
- even as We produced the first creation, so shall We produce a new one: a
promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it. Before this We wrote in
the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants the righteous,
shall inherit the earth." (Surah 21, Al-Anbiyya, verses 104-105.
33) On no soul do We place a burden greater than it
can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never
be wronged (Surah 23, Al-Mu’minun, verse 62).
34) Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will
be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another!
Then those whose balance (of good deeds)
is
heavy,- they will attain salvation: But those
whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will
they abide. (Surah 23, Al-Mu’minun, verses 101-102-103).
35) On that Day Allah will pay them back (all)
their just dues, and they will realise that Allah is the (very) Truth, that
makes all things manifest. (Surah 24, An-Nur, verse 25).
36) That Allah may reward them according to the
best of their deeds, and add even more for them out of His Grace: for Allah
doth provide for those whom He will, without measure. (Surah 24, An-Nur, verse
38).
37) Thou seest the mountains and thinkest them
firmly fixed: but they shall pass away as the clouds pass away: (such is) the
artistry of Allah, who disposes of all things in perfect order: for he is well
acquainted with all that ye do. (Surah 27, An-Naml, verse 88).
38) And how many populations We destroyed,
which exulted in their life (of ease and plenty)! Now those habitations of
theirs, after them, are deserted, - All but a (miserable) few! and We are their
heirs! Nor was thy Lord the one to destroy a population until He had sent to
its centre a messenger, rehearsing to them Our Signs; nor are We going to
destroy a population except when its members practise iniquity. (Surah 28,
Al-Qasas, verses 58- 59).
39) .......but the wicked are not called
(immediately) to account for their sins. (Surah 28, Al-Qasas, verse 78 part).

better than his deed; but if any does evil, the doers of evil are only punished
(to the extent) of their deeds.(Surah 28, Al-Qasas, verse 84).
41) Do men think that they will be left alone
on saying, "We believe", and that they will not be tested? (Surah 29,
Al-Ankabut, verse 2).
42) Those who believe and work righteous deeds,
- from them shall We blot out all evil (that may be) in them, and We shall
reward them according to the best of their deeds. (Surah 29, Al-Ankabut, verse
7).
43) And your creation or your resurrection is
in no wise but as an individual soul: for Allah is He Who hears and sees (all
things) (Surah 31, Luqman, verse28).
44) If We had so willed, We could certainly
have brought every soul its true guidance: but the Word from Me will come true,
"I will fill Hell with Jinns and men all together." (Surah 32,
Al-Sajdah, verse 13).
45) The Unbelievers say, "Never to us will
come the Hour": Say, "Nay! but most surely, by my Lord, it will come
upon you; - by Him Who knows the unseen, - from Whom is not hidden the least
little atom in the heavens or on earth: Nor is there anything less than that,
or greater, but is in the Record Perspicuous: That He may reward those who
believe and work deeds of righteousness: for such is Forgiveness and a
Sustenance Most Generous." (Surah 34, Saba, verses 3-4)
46) Nor can a bearer of burdens bear another´s burdens
if one heavily laden should call another to (bear) his load. Not the least
portion of it can be carried (by the other). Even though he be nearly related.
Thou canst but admonish such as fear their Lord unseen and establish regular
Prayer. And whoever purifies himself does so for the benefit of his own soul;
and the destination (of all) is to Allah. (Surah 35, Fatir, verse18)
47) "Who has, out of His Bounty, settled
us in a Home that will last: no toil nor sense of weariness shall touch us
therein." But those who reject (Allah) - for them will be the
Fire of Hell: No term shall be determined for them,
so they should die, nor shall its Penalty be lightened for them. Thus do We
reward every ungrateful one! (Surah 35, Fatir, verses 35-36).
48) If Allah were to punish men according to
what they deserve. He would not leave on the back of the (earth) a single
living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: when their Term expires,
verily Allah has in His sight all His Servants. (Surah 35, Fatir, verse 45).
49) Verily We shall give life to the dead, and
We record that which they send before and that which they leave behind, and of
all things have We taken account in a clear Book (of evidence). (Surah 36, Ya-Sin,
verse 12).
50) And he who brings the Truth and he who
confirms (and supports) it - such are the men
who do right. They shall have all that they
wish for, in the presence of their Lord: such is the reward of those who do good:
So that Allah will turn off from them (even) the worst in their deeds and give
them their reward according to the best of what they have done. (Surah 39,
Az-Zumar, verse 33-34-35).
51) Verily We have revealed the Book to thee in
Truth, for (instructing) Mankind. He, then, that receives guidance benefits his
own soul: but he that strays injures his own soul. Nor art thou set over them
to dispose of their affairs. (Surah 39, Az-Zumar, verse 41).
52) "He that works evil will not be
requited but by the like thereof: and he that works a righteous deed - whether
man or woman - and is a Believer- such will enter the Garden (of Bliss):
Therein will they have abundance without measure. (Surah 40, Al-Mumin, verse
40).
53) To any that desires the tilth of the
Hereafter, We give increase in his tilth, and to any that desires the tilth of this
world, We grant somewhat thereof, but he has no share or lot in the Hereafter.
(Surah 42, Al-Shura, verse 20).
54) If Allah were to enlarge the provision for
His Servants, they would indeed transgress beyond all bounds through the earth;
but he sends (it) down in due measure as He pleases. For He is with His servants,
Well-acquainted, Watchful. (Surah 42, Al-Shura, verse 27).
55) If then they run away, We have not sent
thee as a guard over them. Thy duty is but to convey (the Message). And truly,
when We give man a taste of a Mercy from Ourselves, he doth exult thereat, but
when some ill happens to him, on account of the deeds which his hands have sent
forth, truly then is man ungrateful! (Surah 42, Al-Shura, verse 48).
56) Is it they who would portion out the Mercy
of thy Lord? It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in the life
of this world: and We raise some of them above others in ranks, so that some
may command work from others. But the Mercy of thy Lord is better than the
(wealth) which they amass. (Surah 43, Al-Zukhruf, verse 32).
57) Such will be the Garden of which ye are
made heirs for your (good) deeds (in life). (Surah 43, Al-Zukhruf, verse 72).
58) Verily that which ye are promised is true; and
verily Judgment and Justice must indeed
come to pass. (Surah 51, Az-Zariyat, verses
5-6).
59) And those who believe and whose families follow
them in Faith, - to them shall We join their
families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the
fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his
deeds.(Surah 52, At-Tur, verse21).
60) Yea, to Allah belongs all that is in the
heavens and on earth: so that He rewards those who do evil, according to their
deeds, and He rewards those who do good, with what is best. (Surah 53, An-Najm,
verse31).
61) All that they do is noted in (their) Books
(of Deeds): Every matter, small and great, is on record. (Surah 54, Al-Qamar,
verses 52-53).
62) No misfortune can happen on earth or in
your souls but is recorded in a decree before We
bring it into existence: That is truly easy for
Allah. In order that ye may not despair over matters that pass you by, nor
exult over favours bestowed upon you. For Allah loveth not any vainglorious
boaster, - (Surah 57, Al-Hadid, verses 22-23).
63) As
for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great
Reward. (Surah 67, Al-Mulk, verse 12)

deeds. (Surah 74, Al Muddassir, verse 38).

uncontrolled, (without purpose)? (Surah 75, Al Qiyamat, verse36).

it. (Surah 86, Al Tariq, verse 4).

His Messengers whom He pleases, so believe in Allah and his messengers: and if
ye believe and do right, ye have a great reward without measure. (Surah 3,
Al-Imran, Verse 179 Part).

righteousness – be they male or female and have faith, they will enter Heaven,
and not the least injustice will be done to them. (Surah 4 An-Nisa Verse 124).
69) What can Allah gain
by your punishment, if ye are grateful and ye believe? Nay, it is Allah that
recogniseth (all good) and knoweth all things. (Surah 4 An-Nisa Verse 147).
70) But those who
believe and work righteousness - , no
burden do We place on any soul but that which it can bear - , they will be
Companions of the Garden, therein to dwell (forever). And We shall remove from their hearts any rancour;
(Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, Verse 42 and 43 Part).
71) For each (such person) there are (angels)
in succession, before and behind him: They guard him by command of Allah.
Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change what
is within themselves. But when (once) Allah willeth a people´s punishment,
there can be no turning it back, nor will they find, besides Him, any to
protect.(Surah 13, Ar-Ra’ad, verse 11).
72) Leave alone those who take their religion
to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But
proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its
own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah. If
it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the
end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have
for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they
persisted in rejecting Allah. Say: "Shall we indeed call on others besides
Allah, - things that can do us neither good nor harm, - and turn on our heels
after receiving guidance from Allah. - like one whom the evil ones have made
into a fool, wandering bewildered through the earth, his friends calling, come
to us´, (vainly) guiding him to the path." Say: "(Allah) ´s guidance
is the (only) guidance, and we have been directed to submit ourselves to the
Lord of the worlds; - (Surah 6, Al-An’am, verses 70-71).
73) It is not required of thee (O Messenger.,
to set them on the right path, but Allah sets on the right path whom He
pleaseth. Whatever of good ye give benefits your own souls, and ye shall only
do so seeking the "Face" of Allah. Whatever good ye give, shall be
rendered back to you, and ye shall not be dealt with unjustly. (Surah 2,
Al-Baqarah, verse 272).
74) "Wherever ye are, death will find you
out, even if ye are in towers built up strong and high!" If some good befalls
them, they say, "This is from Allah. But if evil, they say, "This is
from thee" (O Prophet). Say: "All things are from Allah." But
what hath come to these people that they fail to understand a single fact?
(Surah 4, Al-Nisa, verse 78).
75) Whatever good, (O man!) happens to thee, is
from Allah. But whatever evil happens to thee, is from thy (own) soul. (Surah
4, Al-Nisa, verse 79- part).
76) In whatever business thou mayest be, and
whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur´an, - and whatever deed
ye (mankind) may be doing, - We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply
engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an
atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these
things but are recorded in a clear Record. (Surah 10, Yunus, verse 61).
77) There is not a population but We shall
destroy it before the Day of Judgment or punish it with a dreadful Penalty:
that is written in the (eternal) Record. And
We refrain from sending the signs, only because the men of former generations
treated them as false: We sent the She-camel to the Thamud to open their eyes,
but they treated her wrongfully: We only send the Signs by way of terror (and
warning from evil). (Surah 17, Bani Israil, verse 58-59).
78) Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other
god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor
commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. (But)
the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell
therein in ignominy,- Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds,
for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is
Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah 25, Al-Furqan, verses 68-69-70).
79) And when the Word is fulfilled against them
(the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will
speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs (Surah
27, Al-Furqan, verse 82).
80) In the long run evil in the extreme will be
the End of those who do evil; for that they rejected the Signs of Allah, and
held them up to ridicule. (Surah 30, Ar-Rum, verse 10).
81) Now no person knows what delights of the
eye are kept hidden (in reserve) for them - as a reward for their (good) deeds (Surah
32, Al-Sajdah, verse 17).
82) Say: "Verily my Lord enlarges and
restricts the Sustenance to such of his servants as He pleases: and nothing do
ye spend in the least (in His cause) but He replaces it: for He is the Best of those
who grant Sustenance. (Surah 34, Saba, verse 39).
83) Whoever works righteousness benefits his
own soul; whoever works evil, it is against his own soul: nor is thy Lord ever unjust
(in the least) to His Servants. (Surah 41, Ha-Mim, verse 46).
84) Whatever misfortune happens to you, is
because on the things your hands have wrought, and for many (of them) He grants
forgiveness. Nor can ye frustrate (aught), (fleeing) through the earth; nor
have ye, besides Allah, any one to protect or to help. (Surah 42, verses
30-31).
85) Nor will they there taste Death, except the
first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire. (Surah
44, Al-Dukhan, verse 56).
86) Verily Allah will admit those who believe
and do righteous deeds, to Gardens
beneath which rivers flow; while those who reject Allah will enjoy (this world)
and eat as cattle eat; and the Fire will be their abode.(Surah 47, Muhammad,
verse 12).
87) There will be for them therein all that
they wish, - and more besides in Our Presence. (Surah 50, Qaf, verse 35).
88) And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also)
that which ye are promised. Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the
very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other.
(Surah 51, Az-Zariyat, verses 22-23).
89) That man can have nothing but what he
strives for; that (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: Then
will he be rewarded with a reward complete (Surah 53, An-Najm, verses
39-40-41).
90) Who
is he that will Loan to Allah a beautiful loan? For (Allah) will increase it
manifold to his credit, and he will have (besides) a liberal Reward. (Surah 57,
Al-Hadid, verse 11).
91) "Eat ye and drink ye, with full
satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that
are gone!"(Surah 69, Al-Haqqah, verse 24).
92) Then, for such as had transgressed all
bounds, and had preferred the life of this world, The Abode will be Hell-Fire; and
for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord´s (tribunal)
and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires, their abode will be the
Garden. (Surah 79, Al-Nazi’at, verses 37 to 41).
93) Who will enter the Great Fire, In which
they will then neither die nor live. But those will prosper who purify
themselves, And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift
their hearts) in prayer. (Surah 87, Al-A’la,
verses 12 to 15).
94) Verily, with every difficulty there is
relief. (Surah 94, Al-Inshirah, verse 6).
95) "To the righteous, the Garden will be
brought near, "And to those straying in Evil, the Fire will be placed in
full view; (Surah 26, Ash-Shu’araa, verses 90-91).
96) Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn
(his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the
left. Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note
it). (Surah 50, Qaf, verses 17-18)
97) Let there be no compulsion in religion:
Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah
hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold that never breaks. And Allah
heareth and knoweth all things. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah, verse 256).
98) Narrated
Anas: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "When a human being is laid in
his grave and his companions return and he even hears their footsteps, two
angels come to him and make him sit and ask him: What did you use to say about
this man, Muhammad ? He will say: I testify that he is Allah's slave and His
Apostle. Then it will be said to him, 'Look at your place in the Hell-Fire.
Allah has given you a place in Paradise instead of it.' “The Prophet added,
"The dead person will see both his places. But a non-believer or a
hypocrite will say to the angels, 'I do not know, but I used to say what the
people used to say! It will be said to him, 'Neither did you know nor did you
take the guidance (by reciting the Quran).' Then he will be hit with an iron
hammer between his two ears, and he will cry and that cry will be heard by whatever
approaches him except human beings and jinns." (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 23, Number 422: Book of Funerals (Janaaiz))
(Islambase Publications).
99) Narrated
'Ali: “We were accompanying a funeral procession in Baqi-I-Gharqad. The Prophet
(Peace be upon him) came to us and sat and we sat around him. He had a small
stick in his hand then he bent his head and started scraping the ground with
it. He then said, "There is none among you, and not a created soul, but
has place either in Paradise or in Hell assigned for him and it is also
determined for him whether he will be among the blessed or wretched." A
man said, "O Allah's Apostle! Should we not depend on what has been
written for us and leave the deeds as whoever amongst us is blessed will do the
deeds of a blessed person and whoever amongst us will be wretched, will do the
deeds of a wretched person?" The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said,
"The good deeds are made easy for the blessed, and bad deeds are made easy
for the wretched." Then he recited the Verses: -- "As for him who
gives (in charity) and is Allah-fearing And believes in the Best reward from
Allah.” (92.5-6) (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 23,
Number 444: Book of Funerals (Janaaiz)) (Islambase Publications).
100) Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab: I heard Allah's Apostle (Peace
be upon him) saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and
every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever
emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for
what he emigrated for." (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 1, Number 1:
Book of Revelation) (Islambase Publications).
101) Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) said,
"While a man was on the way, he found a thorny branch of a tree there on
the way and removed it. Allah thanked him for that deed and forgave him." (Sahih
Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 43, Number 652: Book of Oppressions [Zulm;
Fitna]) (Islambase Publications).
102)
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) said, "Allah
said, "I have prepared for My pious slaves things which have never been
seen by an eye, or heard by an ear, or imagined by a human being." If you
wish, you can recite this Verse from the Holy Quran:--"No soul knows what
is kept hidden for them, of joy as a reward for what they used to do."
(32.17) (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54, Number 467: Book of Beginning of
Creation) (Islambase Publications).
103) Narrated
Hisham's father: It was mentioned before 'Aisha that Ibn 'Umar attributed the
following statement to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) "The dead person is
punished in the grave because of the crying and lamentation of his
family." On that, 'Aisha said, "But Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon
him) said, 'The dead person is punished for his crimes and sins while his
family cry over him then." She added, "And this is similar to the
statement of Allah's Apostle when he stood by the (edge of the) well which
contained the corpses of the pagans killed at Badr, 'They hear what I say.' She
added, "But he said now they know very well what I used to tell them was
the truth." 'Aisha then recited: 'You cannot make the dead hear.' (30.52)
and 'You cannot make those who are in their Graves, hear you.' (35.22) that is,
when they had taken their places in the (Hell) Fire. (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5,
Book 59, Number 316: Book of Expeditions [Al-Jihan wa’l Siya) (Islambase
Publications).
104) Narrated
'Umar bin Al-Khattab: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "The rewards
(of deeds) are according to the intention, and everybody will get the reward
for what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for Allah's and His Apostle's
sake, his emigration was for Allah and His Apostle; and whoever emigrated for
worldly benefits, or to marry a woman, then his emigration was for the thing
for what he emigrated for." (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 62, Number 8:
Book of Marriage [Nikah]) (Islambase Publications).
105) Narrated
Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "When a Muslim
spends something on his family intending to receive Allah's reward it is
regarded as Sadaqa for him." (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 64, Number
263: Book of Supporting Family) (Islambase Publications).
106) Narrated
Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) saying. "All the
sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirin (those who
commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people). An example of such
disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allah screens it
from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so, I did
such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his
Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allah's screen
from himself." (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 73, Number 95: Book of Good
Manners [Al-Adab]) (Islambase Publications).
107) Narrated
Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) narrated about his Lord and said,
"Allah ordered (the appointed angels over you) that the good and the bad
deeds be written, and He then showed (the way) how (to write). If somebody
intends to do a good deed and he does not do it, then Allah will write for him
a full good deed (in his account with Him); and if he intends to do a good deed
and actually did it, then Allah will write for him (in his account) with Him
(its reward equal) from ten to seven hundred times to many more times: and if
somebody intended to do a bad deed and he does not do it, then Allah will write
a full good deed (in his account) with Him, and if he intended to do it (a bad
deed) and actually did it, then Allah will write one bad deed (in his account)
." (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76, Number 498: Book of Softening the
Heart [Al-Riqaq]) (Islambase Publications).
108) Narrated
Anas bin Malik: Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) said, "When carried to
his grave, a dead person is followed by three, two of which return (after his
burial) and one remains with him: his relatives, his property, and his deeds
follow him; relatives and his property go back while his deeds remain with
him." (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76, Number 521: Book of Softening the
Heart [Al-Riqaq]) (Islambase Publications).
109) Narrated
Abu Said Al-Khudri: Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) said, "Allah will
say to the people of Paradise, 'O the people of Paradise!' They will say,
'Labbaik, O our Lord, and Sa'daik!' Allah will say, 'Are you pleased?"
They will say, 'Why should we not be pleased since You have given us what You
have not given to anyone of Your creation?' Allah will say, 'I will give you
something better than that.' They will reply, 'O our Lord! And what is better
than that?' Allah will say, 'I will bestow My pleasure and contentment upon you
so that I will never be angry with you after for-ever. “(Sahih Bukhari: Volume
8, Book 76, Number 557: Book of Softening the Heart [Al-Riqaq]) (Islambase
Publications).
110) Narrated
'Abdullah: Allah's Apostle(Peace be upon him), the truthful and truly-inspired,
said, "Each one of you is collected in the womb of his mother for forty
days, and then turns into a clot for an equal period (of forty days) and turns
into a piece of flesh for a similar period (of forty days) and then Allah sends
an angel and orders him to write four things, i.e., his provision, his age, and
whether he will be of the wretched or the blessed (in the Hereafter). Then the
soul is breathed into him. And by Allah, a person among you (or a man) may do
deeds of the people of the Fire till there is only a cubit or an arm-breadth
distance between him and the Fire, but then that writing (which Allah has
ordered the angel to write) precedes, and he does the deeds of the people of
Paradise and enters it; and a man may do the deeds of the people of Paradise
till there is only a cubit or two between him and Paradise, and then that
writing precedes and he does the deeds of the people of the Fire and enters
it." (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 77, Number 593: Book of Divine Will
[Al-Qadr]) (Islambase Publications).
111) Narrated
'Adi bin Hatim: Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) said,
"There will be none among you but his Lord will talk to him, and there
will be no interpreter between him and Allah. He will look to his right and see
nothing but his deeds which he has sent forward, and will look to his left and
see nothing but his deeds which he has sent forward, and will look in front of
him and see nothing but the (Hell) Fire facing him. So save yourself from the
(Hell) Fire even with half a date (given in charity)." Al-A'mash said:
'Amr bin Murra said, Khaithama narrated the same and added, '...even with a
good word.' (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93, Number 603: Book of Oneness,
Uniqueness of Allah [Tawheed]) (Islambase Publications).
112) Abu
Malik at−Ash'ari reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:
Cleanliness is half of faith and al−Hamdu Lillah (Praise be to Allah) fills the
scale, and Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) and al−Hamdu Lillah (Praise be to
Allah) fill up what is between the heavens and the earth, and prayer is a
light, and charity is proof (of one's faith) and endurance is a brightness and
the Holy Qur'an is a proof on your behalf or against you. All men go out early
in the morning and sell themselves, thereby setting themselves free or
destroying themselves. (Sahih Muslim, Book 2, Purification, Kitab Al-Taharah,
Hadees No 432, http://www.mclean.faithweb.com).
113) Abu
Huraira reported: Verily the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:
Five (daily) prayers and from one Friday prayer to the (next) Friday prayer,
and from Ramadhan to Ramadhan are expiatious for the (sins) committed in
between (their intervals) provided one shuns the major sins. (Sahih Muslim,
Book 2, Purification, Kitab Al-Taharah, Hadees No 450, Chapter 4: The Merit Of
Wudu And That Of Prayer After It http://www.mclean.faithweb.com).
114) Abu
Huraira reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: When a
bondsman−a Muslim or a believer−washes his face (in course of ablution), every
sin he contemplated with his eyes, will be washed away from his face along with
water, or with the last drop of water; when he washes his hands, every sin they
wrought will be effaced from his hands with the water, or with the last drop of
water; and when he washes his feet, every sin towards which his feet have
walked will be washed away with the water or with the last drop of water with
the result that he comes out pure from all sins. (Sahih Muslim, Book 2,
Purification, Kitab Al-Taharah, Hadees No 475, Chapter 7: It Is Obligatory To
Wash All Parts Of The Body Necessary For Purification http://www.mclean.faithweb.com).
115) Jabir
b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported: I heard Allah's Messenger
(may peace be upon him) saying: Never does a Muslim plant, or cultivate, but
has reward for him for what the beasts eat, or the birds eat or anything else eats
out of that. (Sahih Muslim, Book 10, Transactions, Kitab Al-Buyu’ Hadees No
3766, Chapter 23: Excellence Of Planting Of Tress And Tilling Of Land http://www.mclean.faithweb.com
).
116)
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, ‘There is not one amongst you who has not
been allotted his seat in Paradise or Hell’. The Companions said, ‘Then why
should we perform good deeds, why not depend upon our destiny?’ Thereupon the
Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, ‘No, do perform good deeds, for everyone is
facilitated in that for which he has been created’. (Sahih Muslim Part IV; Book
of Qadr; Chapter MCII, page 1393; 9th edition).
