1) Men will continue to
question one another (or Satan will come amongst men and ask) ‘Allah created
all things, but who created Allah?’ Anyone who confronts such a situation
should say,’ I affirm my faith in Allah’. (Sahih Muslim Part I; Book of Faith;
Chapter LXI, page 77; 9th edition). (Persistent questioning in religion is not desirable).
2) Thee do we worship,
and Thine aid we seek. (Surah Al-Fatihah, verse 5, The Holy Quran).
3) Then do ye remember
Me; I will remember you. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah or the Heifer, verse 152).
4) Yet there are men
who take (for worship) others beside Allah, as equal (with Allah); they love
them as they should love Allah. But those of Faith are overflowing in their
love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the
Punishment; that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce
the Punishment. Then would those who are followed clear themselves of those who
follow (them): they would see the Chastisement and all relations between them
would be cut off. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah or the Heifer, verses 165-166).
5) He hath only
forbidden you -----and that on which any other name hath been invoked besides
that of Allah. (Surah 2, Al- Baqarah or the Heifer, Verse 183).
6) It is Allah who is
my Lord and your Lord; then worship Him. This is a way that is straight. (Surah
3 Al-Imran, Verse 51).
7) Say: ‘O people of
the Book! Come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but
Allah; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from
ourselves lords and patrons other than Allah.’ If then they turn back, say ye:
Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah’s Will)’. (Surah
3, Al-Imran, verse 64).
8) It is not (possible)
that a man, to whom is given the Book, and wisdom, and the Prophetic Office,
should say to people: ‘Be ye my worshippers rather than Allah’s?’ On the
contrary (He would say): ‘Be ye worshippers of Him (Who is truly the Cherisher
of all) for ye have taught the Book and ye have studied it earnestly’. Nor
would he instruct you to take angels and prophets for Lords and Patrons, What!
Would he bid you to unbelief after ye have bowed your will (to Allah in
Islam)?’ (Surah 3, Al-Imran, verses 79-80)
9) Say, ‘We believe in
Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to
Abraham, Ismail; Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to
Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: we make no distinction between
one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam).’ (Surah
3, Al-Imran, verse 84).
10) Christ disdaineth
not to serve and worship Allah, nor do the angels, those nearest (to Allah).
(Surah 4 An-Nisa Verse 172 Part).
11) Forbidden to you
(for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath
been invoked the name of other than Allah.... (Surah 5 Al-Maida Verse 3 Part).
12) Whoever joins other
gods with Allah - , Allah will forbid him the Garden and the Fire will be his
abode. (Surah 5 Al-Maida Verse 72 Part).
13) Say, ‘Will ye
worship besides Allah, something which hath no power either to harm or benefit
you? ‘ .... . (Surah 5 Al-Maida Verse 76 Part).
14) Say: "I am but a man like yourselves,
(but) the inspiration has come to me, that your Allah is one Allah. Whoever
expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of
his Lord, admit no one as partner. (Surah 18, Al-Kahf, verse 110).
15) "Lord of the heavens and of the earth,
and of all that is between them; so worship Him, and be constant and patient in
His worship: knowest thou of any who is worthy of the same Name as
He?"(Surah 19, Maryam, verse 65).
16) Then shall it be said to them: "Where
are the (deities) to which ye gave part- worship-
in
derogation of Allah?" They will reply "They have left us in the
lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)."
Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray. (Surah 40, Al-Mu’min, verses 73-74).
17) "And the places of worship are for
Allah (alone): So invoke not any one along with Allah. (Surah 72, Al Jinn,
verse 20).
18) Say: "I have been forbidden to invoke
those whom ye invoke besides Allah, - seeing that the Clear Signs have come to
me from my Lord; and I have been commanded to bow (in Islam) to the Lord of the
Worlds." (Surah 40, Al-Mu’min, verse 66).
19) "If
not Him, ye worship nothing but names which ye have named, - ye and your
fathers, - for which Allah hath sent down no authority: the command is for none
but Allah. He hath commanded that ye worship none but Him: that is the right
religion, but most men understand not. (Surah 12, Yusuf, verse 40).
20) Seest thou not that to Allah bow down in
worship all things that are in the heavens and on earth,- the sun, the moon,
the stars; the hills, the trees, the animals; and a great number among mankind?
But a great number are (also) such as are fit for Punishment: and such as Allah
shall disgrace, - None can raise to honour: for Allah carries out all that He wills.
(Surah 22, Al-Hajj, verse 18).
21) Seest thou not that it is Allah Whose
praises all beings in the heavens and on earth do
celebrate, and the birds (of the air) with
wings outspread? Each one knows its own (mode of) prayer and praise. And Allah
knows well all that they do. (Surah 24, Al-Nur, verse 41).
22) Or, Who originates creation, then repeats
it, and who gives you sustenance from heaven and earth? (Can there be another)
god besides Allah. Say, "Bring forth your argument, if ye are telling the
truth!"(Surah 27, An-Naml, verse 64).
23) "And the places of worship are for
Allah (alone): So invoke not any one along with Allah. (Surah 72, Al-Jinn,
verse 18).
24) And put thy trust in Allah, and enough is
Allah as a disposer of affairs. (Surah 33, Al-Ahzab, verse 3)
25) Narrated
Abu Dhar: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "Gabriel said to me,
'Whoever amongst your followers die without having worshipped others besides
Allah, will enter Paradise (or will not enter the (Hell) Fire)." The
Prophet (Peace be upon him) asked. "Even if he has committed illegal
sexual intercourse or theft?" He replied, "Even then." (Sahih
Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54, Number 445: Book of
Beginning of Creation) (Islambase Publications).
26) Narrated 'Abdullah: Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) said,
"Anyone who dies worshipping others along with Allah will definitely enter
the Fire." I said, "Anyone who dies worshipping none along with Allah
will definitely enter Paradise." (Sahih Bukhari: Volume
2, Book 23, Number 330: Book of Funerals (Janaaiz)) (Islambase Publications).
27) Narrated Abu Huraira : Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) said,
"Every child is born with a true faith of Islam (i.e. to worship none but
Allah Alone) but his parents convert him to Judaism, Christianity or Magainism,
as an animal delivers a perfect baby animal. Do you find it mutilated?"
Then Abu Huraira recited the holy verses: "The pure Allah's Islamic nature
(true faith of Islam) (i.e. worshipping none but Allah) with which He has created
human beings. No change can there be in the religion of Allah (i.e. joining
none in worship with Allah). That is the straight religion (Islam) but most of
men know, not." (30.30) (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 23, Number
441: Book of Funerals (Janaaiz)) (Islambase Publications).
