The Purpose of Creation

1) Behold! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day – they are indeed signs for men of understanding. (Surah 3, Al-Imran, Verse 190).
2)... ‘He hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy. That He will gather you together for the Day of Judgement’.... (Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 12 Part).
3) In the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did. (Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 60 Part).
4) It is He who hath made you the inheritors of the earth: He hath raised you in ranks, some above others: that He may try you in the gifts He hath given you: for thy Lord is quick in punishment: yet He is indeed Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 165).
5) Then (on the Day of Reckoning) shall We question those to whom Our Message was sent and those by whom We sent it. And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge, for We were never absent (at any time or place). (Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, Verses 6 and 7).
6) When thy Lord drew forhte from the children of Adam – from their loins – their descendents, and made them testify concerning themselves (saying): ‘Am I not your Lord (Who cherishes and sustains you)?’ They said: ‘Yea! We do testify’. (This) lest ye should say on the Day of Judgement:’ of this we were never mindful’. (Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, Verse 172).
7) And know ye that your possessions and your progeny are but a trial: and that it is Allah with whom lies your highest reward. (Surah 8, Al-Anfal, Verse 28).
8) To Him will be your return - of all of you. The promise of Allah is true and sure. It is He who begineth the process of creation, and repeateth it, that He may reward with justice those who believe and work righteousness.... (Surah 10, Yunus, Verse 4 Part).
9) Verily, in the alternation of the night and the day, and in all that Allah hath created, in the heavens and the earth are Signs for those who fear Him. (Surah 10, Yunus, Verse 6).
10) Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established on the throne (of Authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord. (13, Al-Ra’d, verse 2).
11) Seest thou not that Allah created the heavens and the earth in Truth? If He so will, He can remove you and put (in your place) a new creation? (Surah 14, Ibrahim, verse 19).
12) We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. (Surah 15, Al-Hijr, verse 85).
13) It is Allah Who made out of the things He created, some things to give you shade; of the hills He made some for your shelter; He made you garments to protect you from heat, and coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. Thus does He complete His favours on you, that ye may bow to His Will (in Islam) (Surah 16, An-Nahl, verse 81).
14) That which is on earth we have made but as a glittering show for the earth, in order that We may test them - as to which of them are best in conduct. (Surah 18, Al-Kahf, verse 7).
15) Not for (idle) sport did We create the heavens and the earth and all that is between! (Surah 21, Al-Anbiyya, verse 16).
16) It is not their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah. It is your piety that reaches Him: He has thus made them subject to you, that ye may glorify Allah for His guidance to you: and proclaim the good news to all who do right. (Surah 22, Al-Hajj, verse 37).
17) "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?"(Surah 23, Al-Mu’minun, verse 115).
18) Do ye not see that Allah has subjected to your (use) all things in the heavens and on earth, and has made his bounties flow to you in exceeding measure, (both) seen and unseen? Yet there are among men those who dispute about Allah, without knowledge and without guidance, and without a Book to enlighten them! (Surah 31, Luqman, verse20).
19) If We had so willed, We could certainly have brought every soul its true guidance: but the Word from Me will come true, "I will fill Hell with Jinns and men all together." (Surah 32, Al-Sajdah, verse 13).
20) Verily this is the supreme achievement! For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. (Surah 37, As-Saffat, verses 60-61).
21) Assuredly the creation of the heavens and the earth is a greater (matter) than the creation of men: Yet most men understand not. (Surah 40, Al-Mumin, verse 57)
22) And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the living creatures that He has scattered through them: and He has power to gather them together when He wills. (Surah 42, Al-Shura, verse29).
23) We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. (Surah 44, Al-Dukhan, verses 38-39).
24) Verily in the heavens and the earth, are Signs for those who believe. (Surah 45, Al-Jathiyah, verse 3).
25) Allah created the heavens and the earth for just ends, and in order that each soul may find the
recompense of what it has earned, and none of them be wronged. (Surah 45, Al-Jathiyah, verse 22).
26) I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me. No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me. For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance, - Lord of Power, - Steadfast (for ever). (Surah 51, Az-Zariyat, verse 56-57-58).
27) Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. (Surah 54, Al-Qamar, verse 49).
27) He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the
Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving; - (Surah 67, Al-Mulk, verse 2).
28) So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For ye must gain mastery if ye are true in Faith... If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) We give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those that believe, and that He may take to Himself from your ranks Martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loveth not those that do wrong. Allah’s object also is to purge those that are true in Faith and to deprive of blessing Those that resist Faith. Did ye think that ye would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast? (Surah 3, Al-Imran, Verses 139- 140-141-142).
29) And We have set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with them, and We have made therein broad highways (between mountains) for them to pass through: that they may receive Guidance. And We have made the heavens as a canopy well guarded: yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things (point to)! (Surah 21, Al-Anbiyya, verses 31-32).
30) It is out of His Mercy that He has made for you Night and Day,- that ye may rest therein, and that ye may seek of his Grace;- and in order that ye may be grateful. (Surah 28, Al-Qasas, verse 73).
31) And among His Signs is this that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect. And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who know (Surah 30, Al-Nur, verse 21-22).
32) That to thy Lord is the final Goal (Surah 53, An-Najm, verse 42).
33) Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him: So We gave him (the gifts), of Hearing and Sight. We showed him the Way: whether he be grateful or
ungrateful (rests on his will). (Surah 76, Al-Insan, verse 2-3).
34) Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse, And the mountains as pegs? And (have We not) created you in pairs, And made your sleep for rest, And made the night as a covering, And made the day as a means of subsistence? And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments, And placed (therein) a Light of Splendour? And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables, And gardens of luxurious growth? Verily the Day of Sorting Out is a thing appointed (Surah 78, Al-Naba’, verses 6 to 17).
35) Enjoin prayer on thy people, and be constant therein. We ask thee not to provide
sustenance: We provide it for thee. But the (fruit of) the Hereafter is for righteousness. (Surah 20, Ta-Ha, verse 132).
36) If it had been thy Lord´s will, they would all have believed, - all who are on earth! Wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe! (Surah 10, Yunus, verse 99).
