1) Seventy thousand of
my (Muhammad – Peace be upon him) Ummah would enter Paradise without rendering
account. They would be those who would neither practise charm, nor take omens,
nor do they cauterise, but they repose their trust in their Lord. (Sahih Muslim
Part I; Book of Faith; Chapter XCI, page 141; 9th edition).
2) The Prophet (Peace
be upon him) said, ‘Whosoever cheerfully accepts Allah as his Lord, Islam as
his religion and Muhammad as his Apostle is necessarily entitled to enter
Paradise.............and Jihad in the way of Allah is an act which elevates the
position of a man in Paradise to a grade one hundred higher, and the elevation
between one grade and the other is equal to the height of the heaven from the
earth’. (Sahih Muslim Part III; Book of Al-Imara; Chapter DCCLXXXIV, page 1046;
9th edition).
3) .......and if, as is
sure, there comes to you guidance from Me, whosoever follows My guidance, on
them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah or the
Heifer, verse 38[last part])
4) Nay, whoever submits
his whole self to Allah and is a doer of good, he will get his reward with his
Lord; on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah or the
Heifer, verse 112).
5) And take a provision
(with you) for the journey, but the best of provisions is right conduct, so
fear Me, Oh Ye that are wise. (Surah 2, Al Baqarah or the Heifer, End of verse
197).
6) And there are men
who say: “Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter. And
save us from the torment of the Fire.” To these will be allotted what they have
earned. (Surah 2, Al Baqarah or the Heifer, Verses 201- 202).
7) But fear Allah, and
know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves. (Surah 2, Al Baqarah or
the Heifer, Verse 194 End).
8) But none will
receive admonition but men of understanding. (Surah 2, Al- Baqarah or The Heifer,
verse 269 End.).
9) Those who believe
and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and give zakat,
will have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fever, nor shall
they grieve. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah or The Heifer, verse 277).
10) .......And none
will grasp the Message except men of understanding. (Surah 3, Al-Imran, verse 7
part).
11) If anyone desires a
religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of
him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost.
(Surah 3, Al-Imran, verse 85). .... Except for those that repent (even) after
that and make amends; for verily Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah
3, Al-Imran, verses 86-89).
12) By no means shall
you attain righteousness unless ye give (freely) of that which ye love. (Surah
3, Al-Imran, verse 92 part).
13) Let there arise out
of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, and enjoining what is
right, and forbidding what is wrong: they are the ones to attain felicity.
(Surah 3, Al-Imran, verse 104).
14) Those who spend
(freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and
pardon (all) men; for Allah loves those who do good. (Surah 3, Al-Imran, verse
134).
15) ....and Allah loves
those who are firm and steadfast. (Surah 3, Al-Imran, Verse 146 Part).
16) And if ye are
slain, or die, in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far
better than all they could amass. (Surah 3, Al-Imran, Verse 157).
17) Then, when thou
hast taken a decision, put thy trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who put
their trust (in Him). (Surah 3, Al-Imran, Verse 159 part).
18) O ye who believe!
Persevere in patience and constancy; vie in such perseverance; strengthen each
other; and fear Allah; that ye may prosper.
(Surah 3, Al-Imran, Verse 200).
19) Oh ye who believe!
Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you.
If ye differ in anything among yourselves, refer it to Allah and his Messenger,
if ye do believe in Allah and the Last day: that is best, and most suitable for
final determination. (Surah 4, An-Nisa, Verse 59).
20) All who obey Allah
and the Messenger are in the company of those on whom is the grace of Allah, -
of the Prophets (who teach) , the sincere (lovers of truth), the martyrs and
the righteous (who do good) ; Ah! How beautiful is their Company. (Surah 4,
An-Nisa, Verse 69).
21) Let those fight in
the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. (Surah 4,
An-Nisa, Verse 74 Part).
22) He who forsakes his
home in the cause of Allah finds in the earth many a refuge. And abundance... (Surah
4 An-Nisa Verse 100 Part).
23) If any do deeds of
righteousness – be they male or female and have faith, they will enter Heaven,
and not the least injustice will be done to them. (Surah 4 An-Nisa Verse 124).
24) Oh ye who believe!
Do your duty to Allah, seek the means of approach unto Him, and strive (with
might and main) in His cause: that ye may prosper. (Surah 5 Al-Maida Verse 35).
25) As to those who
turn (for friendship) to Allah, His Messengers, and the Believers- it is the
party of Allah that must certainly triumph. (Surah 5 Al-Maida Verse 56).
26) Any who believe in
Allah and the Last Day and work righteousness - , on them shall be no fear nor
shall they grieve. (Surah 5 Al-Maida Verse 69 Part).
27) Say: ‘not equal are
things that are bad and things that are good, even though the abundance of the
bad may dazzle thee; so fear Allah, oh ye that understand; that(so) ye may
prosper.” (Surah 5 Al-Maida Verse 100).
28) .....never be then
of those who doubt.... (Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 114 Part).
29) This is the Way of thy
Lord leading straight: We have detailed the Signs for those who receive
admonition. (Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 126).
30) But those who
believe and work righteousness - , no
burden do We place on any soul but that which it can bear - , they will be Companions
of the Garden, therein to dwell (forever).
And We shall remove from their hearts any rancour; (Surah 7, Al-Ar’af,
Verse 42 and 43 Part).
31) ....thus do We
explain the Signs by various (Symbols) to those who are grateful. (Surah 7,
Al-Ar’af, Verse 58 Part).
32) ....He said: ‘I
afflict My Punishment on whom I will; but My Mercy extendeth to all things.
That (Mercy) I shall ordain for those who do right, and pay Zakat and those who
believe in Our Signs.... (Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, Verse 156 Part).
33) ....but if they
repent, and establish regular prayers and pay Zakat, then open the way for
them: for Allah is Oft – Forgiving, Most Merciful (Surah 9, At- Tauba, Verse 5
Part).
34) The mosques of
Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last
Day, establish regular prayers, and pay zakat, and fear none (at all) except
Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance. (Surah 9, At- Tauba,
Verse 18).
35) Those who believe
and emigrate and strive with mite and main, in Allah’s cause, with their goods
and their persons, have the highest rank in the site of Allah. They are the
people who will achieve (salvation). (Surah 9, At- Tauba, Verse 20).
36) Go ye forth,
(whether equipped) lightly or heavily, and strive and struggle, with your goods
and your persons, in the Cause of Allah. That is best for you, if ye (but
knew). (Surah 9, At- Tauba, Verse 41).
37) Those who believe,
and work righteousness – their Lord will guide them because of their faith:
beneath them will flow rivers in Garden of Bliss. (Surah 10, Yunus, Verse 9).
38) Behold! Verily on
the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve; those who believe
and (constantly) guard against evil: - For them are Glad Tidings, in the life
of the Present and in the Hereafter: No change can there be in the Words of
Allah. This is indeed the supreme Triumph. (Surah 10, Yunus, Verse 62-63-64).
39) ‘That which is left
you by Allah is best for you....’ (Surah 11, Hud, Verse 86 Part).
40) It is those who are endued with understanding
that receive admonition. (Surah 13, Al-Ra’d, verse 19, part).
41) "Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction
in the remembrance of Allah. For without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do
hearts find satisfaction. (Surah 13, Al-Ra’d, verse 28)
42) What is with you must vanish: what is with
Allah will endure. And We will certainly bestow, on those who patiently
persevere, their reward according to the best of their actions (Surah 16,
An-Nahl, verse 96).
43) Whoever works righteousness, man or woman,
and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and
pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their
actions (Surah 16, An-Nahl, verse 97).
44) For Allah is with those who restrain themselves,
and those who do good (Surah 16, An-Nahl, verse 128).
45) Those who do wish for the (things of) the Hereafter,
and strive therefor with all due
striving and have Faith, they are the ones whose
striving is acceptable (to Allah. (Surah 17, Bani Israil, verse 19).
46) "But, without doubt, I am (also) He
that forgives again and again, to those who repent, believe, and do right, who,
- in fine, are ready to receive true guidance." (Surah 20, Ta-Ha, verse
82).
47) To every people did We appoint rites (of
sacrifice), that they might celebrate the name of Allah over the sustenance He
gave them from animals (fit for food). But your Allah is One Allah. submit then
your wills to Him (in Islam): and give thou the good news to those who humble
themselves,- To those whose hearts when Allah is mentioned, are filled with
fear, who show patient perseverance over their afflictions, keep up regular
prayer, and spend (in charity) out of what We have bestowed upon them ( Surah
22, Al-Hajj, verses 34-35).
48) (They are) those who, if We establish them
in the land, establish regular prayer and give regular charity, enjoin the
right and forbid wrong:(2819) with Allah rests the end (and decision) of (all)
affairs. (Surah 22, Al-Hajj, verse 41).
49) Say: "O men! I am (sent) to you only
to give a clear warning: "Those who believe and work righteousness, for them
is forgiveness and a sustenance most generous. (Surah 22, Al-Hajj,
verses49-50).
50) It is such as obey Allah and His Messenger,
and fear Allah and do right, that will win (in the end) (Surah 24, An-Nur,
verse 52).
51) Say: "Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger. But if ye turn away, he
is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you.
If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance. The Messenger’s duty is only to preach the clear (Message). (Surah
24, An-Nur, verse 54).
52) Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant
and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes) (Surah 25, Al-Furqan, verse 67).
53) See they not that Allah enlarges the provision and restricts it, to
whomsoever He pleases? Verily in that are Signs for those who believe. So give
what is due to kindred, the needy, and the wayfarer. That is best for those who
seek the Countenance, of Allah, and it is they who will prosper. (Surah 30,
Ar-Rum, verses 37-38).
54) Whoever submits his whole self to Allah, and is
a doer of good, has grasped indeed the most
trustworthy handhold: and with Allah rests the
End and Decision of (all) affairs. (Surah 31, Luqman, verse22).
55) Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a
beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final
Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah. (Surah 33, Al-Ahzab, verses
21).
56) It is not your wealth nor your sons, that
will bring you nearer to Us in degree: but only those who believe and work
righteousness - these are the ones for whom there is a multiplied Reward for
their deeds, while secure they (reside) in the dwellings on high! (Surah 34,
Saba, 37).
57) Those who rehearse the Book of Allah,
establish regular Prayer, and spend (in Charity) out of what We have provided
for them, secretly and openly, hope for a commerce that will never fail: (Surah
35, Fatir, verse29).
58) Those who listen to the Word, and follow
the best (meaning) in it: those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those
are the ones endued with understanding. (Surah 39, Az-Zumar, verse18)
59) "He that works evil will not be
requited but by the like thereof: and he that works a righteous deed - whether
man or woman - and is a Believer- such will enter the Garden (of Bliss):
Therein will they have abundance without measure. (Surah 40, Al-Mumin, verse
40).
60) Those who avoid the greater crimes and shameful
deeds, and, when they are angry even then forgive; Those who hearken to their
Lord, and establish regular Prayer; who (conduct) their affairs by mutual
Consultation; who spend out of what We bestow on them for Sustenance; And those
who, when an oppressive wrong is inflicted on them, (are not cowed but) help
and defend themselves.( The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto
(in degree): but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is
due from Allah. for (Allah) loveth not those who do wrong. But indeed if any do
help and defend themselves after a wrong (done) to them, against such there is
no cause of blame. The blame is only against those who oppress men and
wrong-doing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land, defying
right and justice: for such there will be a penalty grievous. But indeed if any
show patience and forgive, that would truly be an exercise of courageous will
and resolution in the conduct of affairs.
(Surah 42, Al-Shura, verse37 to 43).
61) "This Our Record speaks about you with
truth: For We were wont to put on Record all that ye did." Then, as to
those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them to His
Mercy that will be the Achievement for all to see. (Surah 45, Al-Jathiyah,
verses 29-30).
62) Verily those who say, "Our Lord is
Allah," and remain firm (on that Path), - on them shall be no fear, nor
shall they grieve. Such shall be Companions of the Gardens, dwelling therein
(for aye): a recompense for their (good) deeds. (Surah 46, Al-Zukhruf, verses
13-14).
63) As to the Righteous, they will be in the
midst of Gardens and Springs, taking joy in the things which their Lord gives
them, because, before then, they lived a good life. They were in the habit of
sleeping but little by night, And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying
for Forgiveness; And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right
of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was Prevented (from
asking). (Surah 51, Az-Zariyat, verses 15-16-17-18- 19).
64) And those Foremost (in Faith) will be
Foremost (in the Hereafter). These will be those Nearest to Allah: In Gardens
of Bliss: (Surah 56, Al-Waq’iah, verses 10-11-12).
65) For those who give in Charity, men and
women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold (to
their credit), and they shall have (besides) a liberal reward. (Surah 57,
Al-Hadid, verse 18).
65) And when the Prayer is finished, then may
ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah. And celebrate
the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper. (Surah 62,
Al-Jumu’ah, verse 10).
66) Your riches and your children may be but a
trial: but in the Presence of Allah, is the
highest Reward. So fear Allah as much as ye
can; listen and obey and spend in charity for the benefit of your own souls.
And those saved from the covetousness of their own souls, - they are the ones
that achieve prosperity. (Surah 64, Al-Taghabun, verses 15-16).
67) And for such as had entertained the fear of
standing before their Lord´s (tribunal) and had
restrained (their) soul from lower desires,
Their abode will be the Garden. (Surah79, Al-Na’ziat. Verses 40-41).
68) So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, except
to those who believe and work righteous
deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail.
(Surah 84, Al Inshiqaq, verses 24-25).
69) Truly he succeeds that purifies it, and he
fails that corrupts it! (Surah 91, Ash-Shams, verses 9-10).
70) Those who spend their wealth for increase
in self-purification, (Surah 92, Al-Lail, verse 18).
71) We have indeed created man in the best of moulds,
then do We abase him (to be) the lowest of the low, - Except such as believe
and do righteous deeds: For they shall have a reward unfailing. (Surah 95,
At-Tin, verses 4, 5 and 6).
72) That He may make your conduct whole and
sound and forgive you your sins: He that obeys Allah and His Messenger, has
already attained the highest Achievement. (Surah 33, Al-Ahzab, verse 71).
73) Be sure we shall test you with something of
fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but
give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, Who say, when afflicted
with calamity: "To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return":-They
are those on whom (Descend) blessings from Allah, and Mercy, and they are the
ones that receive guidance.(Surah 2, Al-Baqarah, verses 155-156-157).
74) Not
equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who
strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah
hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and
persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised
good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit
(at home) by a special reward, - (Surah 4, Al-Nisa, verse 95).
75) Say: "Come, I will rehearse what Allah hath (really) prohibited
you from": Join not anything as equal with Him; be good to your parents;
kill not your children on a plea of want; - We provide sustenance for you and
for them; - come not nigh to shameful deeds. Whether open or secret; take not
life, which Allah hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus doth
He command you, that ye may learn wisdom. And come not nigh to the orphan´s
property, except to improve it, until he attain the age of full strength; give
measure and weight with (full) justice; - no burden do We place on any soul,
but that which it can bear; - whenever ye speak, speak justly, even if a near
relative is concerned; and fulfil the covenant of Allah; thus doth He command
you, that ye may remember. Verily, this is My way, leading straight: follow it:
follow not (other) paths: they will scatter you about from His (great) path:
thus doth He command you. That ye may be righteous. (Surah 6, Al-An’am, verses
151-152-153).
76) Twice will they be given their reward, for that
they have persevered, that they avert Evil with Good, and that they spend (in
charity) out of what We have given them. (Surah 28, Al-Qasas, verse 54).
77) It is Allah that takes the souls (of men)
at death; and those that die not (He takes) during their sleep: those on whom
He has passed the decree of death, He keeps back (from returning to life), but
the rest He sends (to their bodies) for a term appointed verily in this are
Signs for those who reflect. (Surah 39, Al-Zumar, verse 42).
78) But Allah will deliver the righteous to
their place of salvation: no evil shall touch them, nor shall they grieve.
(Surah 39, Al-Zumar, verse 61).
79) We will, without doubt, help our messengers
and those who believe, (both) in this world´s life and on the Day when the
Witnesses will stand forth,-(Surah 40, Al-Mu’min, verse 51).
80) Verily Allah will admit those who believe and
do righteous deeds, to Gardens beneath
which rivers flow; while those who reject Allah will enjoy (this world) and eat
as cattle eat; and the Fire will be their abode.(Surah 47, Muhammad, verse 12).
81) Be ye foremost (in seeking) Forgiveness
from your Lord, and a Garden (of Bliss), the width whereof is as the width of
heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His messengers:
that is the Grace of Allah, which He bestows on whom he pleases: and Allah is
the Lord of Grace abounding. (Surah 57, Al-Hadid, verse 21).
82) And He provides for him from (sources) he
never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is
(Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all
things has Allah appointed a due proportion. (Surah 65, Al-Talaq, verse 3).
84) That is the Command of Allah, which He has sent
down to you: and if any one fears Allah, He will remove his ills, from him, and
will enlarge his reward. (Surah 65, Al-Talaq, verse 6).
85) Who will enter the Great Fire, in which
they will then neither die nor live. But those will prosper who purify
themselves, and glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift
their hearts) in prayer. (Surah 87, Al-A’la,
verses 12 to 15).
86) Verily Man is in loss Except such as have
Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of
Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.(Surah 103, Al-Asr, verses 2-3).
87) This is the Book; in it is guidance sure,
without doubt, to those who fear Allah. Who believe in the Unseen, are
steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for Them And who
believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their
hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter They are on (true) guidance, from
their Lord, and it is these who will prosper (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah, verses 2 to
5).
88) Those who believe (in the Qur´an), and
those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,-
any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have
their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve
(Surah 2 Al-Baqarah, verse 62).
89) And there is the type of man who gives his
life to earn the pleasure of Allah. And Allah is full of kindness to (His) devotees
(Surah 2, Al-Baqarah, verse 207).
90) Those who spend their substance in the
cause of Allah, and follow not up their gifts with reminders of their
generosity or with injury,-for them their reward is with their Lord: on them
shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah, verse 262).
91) Those who show patience, Firmness and self-control;
who are true (in word and deed); who worship devoutly; who spend (in the way of
Allah.; and who pray for forgiveness in the early hours of the morning (Surah
3, Al-Imran, verse 17).
92) Every soul shall have a taste of death: And
only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who
is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object
(of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception
(Surah 3, Al-Imran, verse 185).
93) Ye shall certainly be tried and tested in
your possessions and in your personal selves; and ye shall certainly Hear much
that will grieve you, from those who received the Book before you and from those
who worship many gods. But if ye persevere patiently, and guard against
evil,-then that will be a determining factor in all affairs. (Surah 3,
Al-Imran, verse 186).
94) The Believers, men and women, are
protectors one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil:
they observe regular prayers, practice regular charity, and obey Allah and His
Messenger. On them will Allah pour His mercy: for Allah is Exalted in power,
Wise. Allah hath promised to Believers, men and women, gardens under which
rivers flow, to dwell therein, and
beautiful mansions in gardens of everlasting
bliss. But the greatest bliss is the good pleasure of Allah. That is the
supreme felicity. (Surah 9, At-Tauba, verses 71-72).
95) But those who believe and work
righteousness, and humble themselves before their Lord, - They will be
companions of the gardens, to dwell therein for aye! (Surah 11, Hud, verse 23).
96) The believers must (eventually) win
through,- Those who humble themselves in their prayers Who avoid vain talk; Who
are active in deeds of charity; Who abstain from immoral sex, (Surah 23,
Al-Mu’minun, verses 1 to 5).
97) Those who faithfully observe their trusts
and their covenants ; And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- These will be
the heirs, Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for
ever).(Surah 23, Al-Mu’minun, verses 8 to 11).
98) For Muslim men and women,- for believing
men and women- for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and
women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for
men and women who give in Charity, for men and women who fast (and deny themselves),
for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage
much in Allah's praise,- for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward.(Surah
33, Al-Ahzab, verse 35).
99) Those who remain steadfast to their prayer;
And those in whose wealth is a recognised right. For the (needy) who asks and
him who is prevented (for some reason from asking); and those who hold to the
truth of the Day of Judgment; and those who fear the displeasure of their
Lord,- For their Lord´s displeasure is the
opposite of Peace and Tranquility;- And those who guard their chastity, Except
with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (then)
they are not to be blamed, But those who trespass beyond this are transgressors;-
And those who respect their trusts and covenants; And those who stand firm in
their testimonies And those who guard (the sacredness) of their worship;- Such
will be the honoured ones in the Gardens (of Bliss). (Surah 70, Al;-Ma’arij,
verses 23 to 35).
100) They perform (their) vows, and they fear a
Day whose evil flies far and wide. And they feed, for the love of Allah, the
indigent, the orphan, and the captive,-(Saying),"We feed you for the sake
of Allah alone: no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks. "We only fear
a Day of distressful Wrath from the side of our Lord."But Allah will
deliver them from the evil of that Day, and will shed over them a Light of
Beauty and (blissful) Joy. And because they were patient and constant, He will reward
them with a Garden and (garments of) silk. (Surah 76, Al-Insan, verses 7 to
12).
101) Those who spend their wealth for increase
in self-purification, And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a
reward is expected in return But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of
their Lord Most High; And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction. (Surah
92, Al-Lail, verses 18 to 21).
102) Is one who worships devoutly during the
hour of the night prostrating himself or standing (in adoration), who takes
heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord - (like
one who does not)? Say: "Are those equal, those who know and those who do
not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition.
(Surah 39, Al-Zumar, verse 9).
103) The vanguard (of Islam) - the first of
those who forsook (their homes) and of those who gave them aid, and (also)
those who follow them in (all) good deeds, - well- pleased is Allah with them,
as are they with Him: for them hath He prepared gardens under which rivers flow,
to dwell therein for ever: that is the supreme felicity. (Surah 9, Al-Tauba,
verse 100).
104) O ye who believe! When ye meet a force, be
firm, and call Allah in remembrance much (and often); that ye may prosper:
(Surah 8, Al-Anfal, verse 45).
105) Men who celebrate the praises of Allah,
standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders
of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! Not
for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from
the penalty of the Fire. "Our Lord! Any whom Thou dost admit to the Fire, Truly
Thou coverest with shame, and never will wrong-doers find any helpers!
"Our Lord! We have heard the call of one calling (Us) to Faith, ´Believe
ye in the Lord, ´ and we have believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot out
from us our iniquities, and take to Thyself our souls in the company of the righteous.
"Our Lord! Grant us what Thou didst promise unto us through Thine
messengers, and save us from shame on the Day of Judgment: For Thou never breakest
Thy promise." And their Lord hath accepted of them, and answered them:
"Never will I suffer to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or
female: Ye are members, one of another: Those who have left their homes, or been
driven out therefrom, or suffered harm in My Cause, or fought or been slain,-
verily, I will blot out from them their iniquities, and admit them into Gardens
with rivers flowing beneath;- A reward from the Presence of Allah, and from His
presence is the best of rewards." (Surah 3, Al-Imran, verses 191-195).
106) O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a
bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty? - That ye believe in Allah
and His Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with
your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! He
will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,
and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme
Achievement. And another (favour will He bestow,) which ye do love, - help from
Allah and a speedy victory. So give the Glad Tidings to the Believers. (Surah
61, As-Saff, verses 10-13).
107) Let there be no compulsion in religion:
Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah
hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold that never breaks. And Allah
heareth and knoweth all things. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah, verse 256).
108) Narrated Abu Huraira: A Bedouin came to the
Prophet (Peace be upon him) and said, "Tell me of such a deed as will make
me enter Paradise, if I do it." The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said,
"Worship Allah, and worship none along with Him, offer the (five)
prescribed compulsory prayers perfectly, pay the compulsory Zakat, and fast the
month of Ramadan." The Bedouin said, "By Him, in Whose Hands my life
is, I will not do more than this." When he (the Bedouin) left, the Prophet
said, "Whoever likes to see a man of Paradise, then he may look at this
man." (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 23, Number

109) Narrated Anas bin Malik: "Once Mu'adh was along with
Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) as a companion rider. Allah's Apostle said,
"O Mu'adh bin Jabal." Mu'adh replied, "Labbaik and Sa'daik. O
Allah's Apostle!" Again the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "O
Mu'adh!" Mu'adh said thrice, "Labbaik and Sa'daik, O Allah's
Apostle!" Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) said, "There is none
who testifies sincerely that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and
Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is his Apostle, except that Allah, will save him
from the Hell-fire." Mu'adh said, "O Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon
him)! Should I not inform the people about it so that they may have glad
tidings?" He replied, "When the people hear about it, they will
solely depend on it." Then Mu'adh narrated the above-mentioned Hadith just
before his death, being afraid of committing sin (by not telling the

110) Narrated 'Adi bin Hatim heard the Prophet (Peace be upon
him) saying: "Save yourself from Hell-fire even by giving half a

'Ubada: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "If anyone testifies that
None has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone Who has no partners, and
that Muhammad is His Slave and His Apostle, and that Jesus is Allah's Slave and
His Apostle and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit created by Him,
and that Paradise is true, and Hell is true, Allah will admit him into Paradise
with the deeds which he had done even if those deeds were few." (Junada,
the sub-narrator said, " 'Ubada added, 'Such a person can enter Paradise

Al-Bara bin Azib: Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) said, "When a Muslim
is questioned in his grave, he will testify that none has the right to be
worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and that is what is
meant by Allah's Statement: -- "Allah will keep firm those who believe
with a Word that stands firm in this world and in the Hereafter." (14.27)

Musab: I asked my father, "Was the Verse: -- 'Say: (O Muhammad) Shall We

regarding Al-Haruriyya?" He said, "No, but regarding the Jews and the
Christians, for the Jews disbelieved Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and the
Christians disbelieved in Paradise and say that there are neither meals nor
drinks therein. Al- Hururiyya are those people who break their pledge to Allah
after they have confirmed that they will fulfill it, and Sad used to call them

Anas bin Malik: I heard Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) saying, "Allah

remains patient, I will let him enter Paradise in compensation for them.'"

Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle (Peace be upon him) said, "Allah has some
angels who look for those who celebrate the Praises of Allah on the roads and
paths. And when they find some people celebrating the Praises of Allah, they
call each other, saying, "Come to the object of your pursuit.” “He added,
"Then the angels encircle them with their wings up to the sky of the
world." He added. "(after those people celebrated the Praises of
Allah, and the angels go back), their Lord, asks them (those angels) ----though
He knows better than them----'What do My slaves say?' The angels reply, 'They
say: Subhan Allah, Allahu Akbar, and Alham-du-lillah, Allah then says 'Did they
see Me?' The angels reply, 'No! By Allah, they didn't see You.' Allah says, How
it would have been if they saw Me?' The angels reply, 'If they saw You, they
would worship You more devoutly and celebrate Your Glory more deeply, and
declare Your freedom from any resemblance to anything more often.' Allah says
(to the angels), 'What do they ask Me for?' The angels reply, 'They ask You for
Paradise.' Allah says (to the angels), 'Did they see it?' The angels say, 'No!
By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.' Allah says, How it would have been if
they saw it?' The angels say, 'If they saw it, they would have greater
covetousness for it and would seek It with greater zeal and would have greater
desire for it.' Allah says, 'From what do they seek refuge?' The angels reply,
'They seek refuge from the (Hell) Fire.' Allah says, 'Did they see it?' The
angels say, 'No by Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.' Allah says, How it
would have been if they saw it?' The angels say, 'If they saw it they would
flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it.'
Then Allah says, 'I make you witnesses that I have forgiven them."'
Allah's Apostle added, "One of the angels would say, 'There was so-and-so
amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he had just come for some need.'
Allah would say, 'These are those people whose companions will not be reduced

Abu Huraira: Allah has ninety-nine Names, i.e., one hundred minus one, and
whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise;

121) Abu Mas'ud
(Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him)
as saying: A person from people who lived before you was called to account (by
Allah atthe Day of Judgment) and no good was found in his account except this
that he being a rich man had (financial) dealings with people and had commanded
his servants to show leniency to the straitened ones. Upon this Allah, the
Exalted and Majestic, said: We have more right to this, so overlook (his
