1) Kind Words and covering of faults are better
than charity followed by injury. (Surah 2, Al - Baqarah or the Heifer, Verse
263).
2)
Oh ye who believe! Give off the good things which ye have {honorably earned}.
(Surah 2, Al- Baqarah or The Heifer, Verse 267 Beginning).
3) But Allah hath permitted trade and
forbidden usury. (Surah 2, Al- Baqarah or The Heifer, verse 275 Part).
4) Disdain not to reduce to writing
(your contract) for a future period, whether it be small or big; it is juster
in the sight of Allah, more suitable as evidence. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah or The
Heifer, verse 282 part).
5) Conceal not evidence: for whoever
conceals it, his heart is tainted with sin. (Surah 2, Al-Baqarah or The Heifer,
verse 283 part).
6) Say, ‘We believe in Allah, and in
what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham, Ismail;
Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets,
from their Lord: we make no distinction between one and another among them, and
to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam).’ (Surah 3, Al-Imran, verse 84).
7) If anyone desires a religion other
than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the
Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost. (Surah 3, Al-Imran,
verse 85). .... Except for those that repent (even) after that and make amends;
for verily Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah 3, Al-Imran, verses
86-89).
8) By no means shall you attain
righteousness unless ye give (freely) of that which ye love. (Surah 3,
Al-Imran, verse 92 part).
9) And hold fast all together, by the
Rope which Allah (stretches out for you) and be not divided among yourself.
(Surah 3, Al-Imran, verse 103 part).
10) Be not like those who are divided
amongst themselves and fall into disputations after receiving clear Signs: for
them is a dreadful Chastisement. (Surah 3, Al-Imran, verse 105).
11) Oh Ye who believe! Devour not usury,
doubled and multiplied; but fear Allah; that ye may (really) prosper. (Surah 3,
Al-Imran, Verse 130).
12) And if ye are slain, or die, in the
way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they
could amass. (Surah 3, Al-Imran, Verse 157).
13) Then, when thou hast taken a
decision, put thy trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who put their trust (in
Him). (Surah 3, Al-Imran, Verse 159 part).
14) O ye who believe! Persevere in
patience and constancy; vie in such perseverance; strengthen each other; and
fear Allah; that ye may prosper. (Surah
3, Al-Imran, Verse 200).
15) And be heedful of the wombs (that
bore you): for Allah ever watches over you. (Surah 4, An-Nisa, Verse 1 Part).
16) Let those (disposing off an estate)
have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their own if they had
left a helpless family behind: let them fear Allah and speak appropriate words.
(Surah 4, An-Nisa, Verse 9).
17) And in no wise covet those things in
which Allah hath bestowed His gifts more freely on some of you than on others:
to men is allotted what they earn, and to women what they earn: but ask Allah
of His bounty. For Allah hath full knowledge of all things. (Surah 4, An-Nisa,
Verse 32).
18) Those men (hypocrites), - Allah
knows what is in their hearts; so keep clear of them but admonish them, and
speak to them a word to reach their very souls. (Surah 4, An-Nisa, Verse 63).
19) All who obey Allah and the Messenger
are in the company of those on whom is the grace of Allah, - of the Prophets
(who teach) , the sincere (lovers of truth), the martyrs and the righteous (who
do good) ; Ah! How beautiful is their Company. (Surah 4, An-Nisa, Verse 69).
20) Let those fight in the cause of
Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. (Surah 4, An-Nisa,
Verse 74 Part).
21) Whoever intercedes in a good cause
becomes a partner therein: and whoever recommends and helps an evil cause
shares in its burden: and Allah hath power over all things. (Surah 4, An-Nisa,
Verse 85).
22) When a (courteous) greeting is
offered you, meet it with a greeting still more courteous, or (at least) of
equal courtesy. Allah takes careful account of all things. (Surah 4, An-Nisa,
Verse 86).
23) Oh ye who believe! Stand out firmly
for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves or your parents
or your kin and whether it be (against) rich or poor; for Allah can best
protect both. (Surah 4, An-Nisa, Verse 135, Part).
24) ....that when ye hear the Message of
Allah held in defiance and ridicule, ye are not to sit with them unless they
turn to a different theme; if ye did ye would be like them. (Surah 4, An-Nisa,
Verse 140, Part).
25) Oh ye who believe! Fulfill (all)
obligations. (Surah 5, Al-Maida, Verse 1, Part).
26) Help ye one another in righteousness
and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancor. (Surah 5, Al-Maida,
Verse 2, Part).
27) Oh ye who believe! Stand out firmly
for Allah as witnesses to fair dealing....be just: that is next to piety:
(Surah 5, Al-Maida, Verse 8, Part).
28) And if anyone saved a life, it would
be as if he saved the life of the whole people (Surah 5, Al-Maida, Verse 32,
Part).
29) Oh ye who believe! Do your duty to
Allah, seek the means of approach unto Him, and strive (with might and main) in
His cause: that ye may prosper. (Surah 5, Al-Maida, Verse 35).
30) ....therefore fear not men, but fear
Me.... (Surah 5, Al-Maida, Verse 44, Part).
31) Satan’s plan is (but) to excite
enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you
from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer: will ye not then abstain? (Surah
5, Al-Maida, Verse 91, Part).
32) Revile not ye those whom they call
upon besides Allah, lest they out of spite revile Allah in their ignorance.
(Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 108 Part).
33) .....never be then of those who doubt....
(Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 114 Part).
34) Eschew all sin, open or secret.
(Surah 6, Al-An’am, Verse 120 Part).
35) ....but the raiment of
righteousness, that is the best.... (Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, Verses 26 Part).
36) ....but waste not by excess, for
Allah loveth not the wasters. (Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, Verse 31 Part).
37) Say: ‘ The things that my Lord hath
indeed forbidden are : indecent deeds, whether open or secret: sins and
trespasses against truth or reason; assigning of partners to Allah, for which
He hath given no authority; and saying things about Allah of which ye have no
knowledge. (Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, Verse 33).
38) Call on your Lord with humility and
in private.... (Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, Verse 55 Part).
39) The most beautiful names belong to
Allah: so call on Him by them; but shun such men as distort His names. (Surah
7, Al-Ar’af, Verse 180 Part).
40) If a suggestion from satan assail
thy (mind), seek refuge with Allah; for He heareth and knoweth (all things).
(Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, Verse 200).
41) And fight them on until there is no
more persecution, and religion becomes Allah’s in its entirety; but if they
cease, verily Allah doth see what they do. (Surah 8, Al-Anfal, Verse 39).
42) ....and be patient and persevering:
for Allah is with those who patiently persevere. (Surah 8, Al-Anfal, Verse 46
Part).
43) ....So preserve patiently: For the
End is for those who are righteous. (Surah 11, Hud, Verse 49 Part).
44) "But ask forgiveness of your
Lord, and turn unto Him (in repentance): For my Lord is indeed full of mercy
and loving-kindness." (Surah 11, Hud, Verse 90).
45) And establish regular prayers at the
two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night: For those things, that are good remove those
that are evil: Be that the word of remembrance to those who remember (their
Lord): (Surah 11, Hud, Verse 114).
46) Allah commands justice, the
doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds,
and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition (Surah
16, An-Nahl, verse 90).
47) But say not - for any false
thing that your tongues may put forth, - "This is lawful, and this
isforbidden," so as to ascribe false things to Allah. For those who
ascribe false things to Allah, will never prosper (Surah 16, An-Nahl, verse 116).
48) Invite (all) to the Way of
thy Lord with wisdom andbeautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are
best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His
Path, and who receive guidance (Surah 16, An-Nahl, verse 125).
49) Thy Lord hath decreed that ye
worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them
attain old age in thy life, say not to thema word of contempt, nor repel them,
but address them in terms of honour. And, out of kindness, lower to them the
wing of humility, and say: "My Lord! Bestow on them thy Mercy even as they
cherished me in childhood."(Surah 17, Bani Isra-il, verses 23, 24).
50) And render to the kindred
their due rights, as (also) to those in want, and to the wayfarer: But squander
not (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift (Surah 17, Bani Isra-il,
verse26).
51) Kill not your children for
fear of want: We shall provide sustenance for them as well as for you.Verily
the killing of them is a great sin (Surah 17, Bani Isra-il, verse31).
52) Come not nigh to the orphan´s
property except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength; and
fulfil (every) engagement, for (every) engagement will be enquired into (on the
Day of Reckoning) (Surah 17, Bani Isra-il, verse34).
53) And pursue not that of which
thou hasth no knowledge; for every act of hearing, or of seeing or of (feeling
in) the heart will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning) (Surah 17, Bani Isra-il,
verse36).
54) Say to My servants that they
should (only) say those things that are best: for Satan doth sow
dissensions among them: For Satan
is to man an avowed enemy (Surah 17, Bani Isra-il, verse53).
55) Nor say of anything, "I
shall be sure to do so and so tomorrow"- Without adding, "So please Allah."
and call thy Lord to mind when thou forgettest, and say, "I hope that my
Lord will guide me ever closer (even) than this to the right road."(Surah
18, Al-Kahf, verses 23-24).
56) And recite (and teach) what
has been revealed to thee of the Book of thy Lord: none can change HisWords,
and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him. (Surah 18, Al-Kahf, verses
27).
57) (Saying): "Eat of the
good things We have provided for your sustenance, but commit no excess therein,
lest My Wrath should justly descend on you:and those on whom descends My Wrath
do perish indeed! (Surah 20, Ta-Ha, verse 81).
58) Enjoin prayer on thy people,
and be constant therein. We ask thee not to provide sustenance: We provide it
for thee. But the (fruit of) the Hereafter is for righteousness. (Surah 20,
Ta-Ha, verse 132).
59) Repel evil with that which is
best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. (Surah 23, Al-Mu’minun,
verse 96).
60) Say: "Obey Allah, and
obey the Messenger. But if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty
placedon him and ye for that placed on you. If ye obey him, ye shall be on
right guidance. The Messenger’s duty is only to preach the clear (Message) (Surah
24, An-Nur, verse54).
61) So establish regular Prayer
and give regular Charity; and obey the Messenger. That ye may receive mercy.
(Surah 24, An-Nur, verse 56).
62) Had it
been Our Will, We could have sent a warner to every center of population.
Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the
utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur´an) (Surah
25, Al-Furqan, verses 51-52).
63) We have enjoined on man kindness
to parents: but if they (either of them) strive (to force) thee to join with Me
(in worship) anything of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not. Ye have
(all) to return to Me, and I will tell you (the truth) of all that ye did.
(Surah 29, Al-Ankabut, verse 8).
64) See they not that Allah
enlarges the provision and restricts it, to whomsoever He pleases? Verily in
that are Signs for those who believe. So give what is due to kindred, the
needy, and the wayfarer. That is best for those who seek the Countenance, of
Allah, and it is they who will prosper. (Surah 30, Ar-Rum, verses 37-38).
65) "O my son! establish
regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong: and bear with
patientconstancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in
(the conduct of) affairs. And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk
in insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.(Surah
31, Luqman, verses 17-18).
66) "And be moderate in thy pace,
and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of
the ass." (Surah 31, Luqman, verses 19).
67) Nor can goodness and evil be
equal. Repel (evil) with what is better: Then will he between whom and thee was
hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate! (Surah 41, Ha-Mim, verse 34).
68) So establish weight with
justice and fall not short in the balance. (Surah 55, Ar-Rahman, verse 9).
69) O ye who believe! Eat not up
your property among yourselves in vanities: But let there be amongst you traffic
and trade by mutual good-will: Nor kill (or destroy) yourselves: for verily
Allah hath been to you Most Merciful! (Surah 4, Al-Nisa, verse 29).
70) Eat not of (meats) on which
Allah’s name hath not been pronounced: That would be impiety. (Surah 6,
Al-An’am, verse 121 part).
71) It is He Who produceth gardens,
with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and
olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of
their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day
that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: for Allah loveth not the
wasters. (Surah 6, Al-An’am, verse 141).
72) Say: "Come, I will
rehearse what Allah hath (really) prohibited you from": Join not anything as
equal with Him; be good to your parents; kill not your children on a plea of
want; - We provide sustenance for you and for them; - come not nigh to shameful
deeds. Whether open or secret; take not life, which Allah hath made sacred,
except by way of justice and law: thus doth He command you, that ye may learn
wisdom. And come not nigh to the orphan´s property, except to improve it, until
he attain the age of full strength; give measure and weight with (full) justice;
-no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear; - whenever ye
speak, speak justly, even if a near relative is concerned; and fulfill the
covenant ofAllah; thus doth He command you, that ye may remember. Verily, this
is My way, leading straight: follow it: follow not (other) paths: they will
scatter you about from His (great) path: thus doth He command you.That ye may
be righteous (Surah 6, Al-An’am, verses 151-152-153).
73) And do thou (O reader!) Bring
thy Lord to remembrance in thy (very) soul, with humility and in reverence,
without loudness in words, in the mornings and evenings; and be not thou of
those who are unheedful (Surah 7, Al-Ar’af, verse 205).
74) Alms are for the poor and the
needy, and those employed to administer the (funds); for those whose hearts
have been (recently) reconciled (to Truth); for those in bondage and in debt;
in the cause of Allah, and for the wayfarer: (thus is it) ordained by Allah,
and Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom (Surah 9, Al-Tauba, verse 60).
75) Make not thy hand tied (like
a niggard´s) to thy neck, nor stretch it forth to its utmost reach, so that
thou become blameworthy and destitute. (Surah 17, BaniIsra-il, verse 29).
76) Nor come nigh to adultery:
for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils) (Surah
17, BaniIsra-il, verse 32).
77) And pursue not that of which
thou hasth no knowledge; for every act of hearing, or of seeing or of (feeling
in) the heart will be enquired into (on the Dayof Reckoning). (Surah 17, Bani Isra-il,
verse 36).
78) And keep thy soul content
with those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His Face; and
let not thine eyes pass beyond them, seeking the pomp and glitter of this Life;
nor obey any whose heart We have permitted to neglect the remembrance of Us,
one who follows his own desires, whose case has gone beyond all bounds. (Surah
18, Al-Kahf, verse 28).
79) The sacrificial camels we
have made for you as among the symbols from Allah. In them is (much) good for
you: then pronounce the name of Allah over them as they line up (for
sacrifice): when they are down on their sides (after slaughter), eat ye thereof,
and feed such as (beg not but) live in contentment, and such as beg with due humility:
thus have We made animals subject to you, that ye may be grateful. (Surah 22,
Al-Hajj, verse 36).
80) Let not those among you who
are endued with grace and amplitude of means resolve by oath against helping
their kinsmen, those in want, and those who have left their homes in Allah's
cause: let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive
you? For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah 24, Al-Nur, verse 22).
81) O ye who believe! Enter not
houses other than your own, until ye have asked permission and saluted those in
them: that is best for you, in order that ye may heed (what is seemly). If ye
find no one in the house, enter not until permission is given to you: if ye are
asked to go back,
go back: that makes for greater
purity for yourselves:and Allah knows well all that ye do. (Surah 24, Al-Nur,
verse 27-28).
82) And say to the believing
women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they
should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear
thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display
their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband´s
fathers,their sons, their husbands´ sons, their brothers or their brothers´
sons, or their sisters´ sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right
hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who
have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet
in order to draw attentionto their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! Turn
ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss. ..(Surah 24, Al-Nur,
verse 31).
83) O ye who believe! Let those
whom your right hands possess, and the (children) among you who have not come
of age ask your permission (before they come to your presence), on three occasions:
before morning prayer; the while ye doff your clothes for the noon day heat;
and after the late night prayer: these are your three times of undress: outside
those times it is not wrong for you or for them to move about attending to each
other: Thus does Allah make clear the Signs to you: for Allah is full of
knowledge and wisdom.(Surah 24, Al-Nur, verse 58).
84) It is no fault in the blind
nor in one born lame, nor in one afflicted with illness, nor in yourselves, that
ye should eat in your own houses, or those of your fathers, or your mothers, or
your brothers, or your sisters, or your father´s brothers or your father´s
sisters, or your mother´s brothers, or your mother´s sisters, or in houses of
which the keys are in your possession, or in the house of a sincere friend of yours:
there is no blame on you, whether ye eat in company or separately. But if ye
enter houses, salute each other - a greeting of blessing and purity as from
Allah, thus does Allah make clear
the signs to you: that ye may understand. (Surah 24, Al-Nur, verse 61).
85) Recite what is sent of the
Book by inspiration to thee, and establish regular Prayer: for Prayer restrains
from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest (thing
in life) without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that ye do. (Surah 29,
Al-Ankabut, verse 45).
86) And We have enjoined on man
(to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him,
and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), "Show gratitude to
Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal. (Surah 31, Luqman, verse 14).
87) Allah has not made for any
man two hearts in his (one) body: nor has He made your wives whom ye divorce by
Zihar your mothers: nor has He made your adopted sons your sons. Such is (only)
your (manner of) speech by your mouths. But Allah tells (you) the Truth, and He
shows the (right) Way. Call them by (the names of) their fathers: that is juster
in the sight of Allah. But if ye know not their father´s (names, call them)
your Brothers in faith, or your maulas. But there is no blame on you if ye make
a mistake therein: (what counts is) the intention of your hearts: and Allah is
Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. (Surah 33, Al-Ahzab, verses 4-5).
88) O Consorts of the Prophet! Ye
are not like any of the (other) women: if ye do fear (Allah), be not too
complacent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with
desire: but speak ye a speech (that is) just. And stay quietly in your houses,
and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance;
and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger.
And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye Members of the Family,
and to make you pure and spotless.And recite what is rehearsed to you in your homes,
of the Signs of Allah and His Wisdom: for Allah understands the finest
mysteries and is well acquainted (with them) (Surah 33, Al-Ahzab, verses
32-33-34).
89) Be not weary and
faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost: for Allah is with
you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds. The life of this
world is but play and amusement: and if ye believe and guard against Evil, He
will grant you your recompense, and will not ask you (to give up) your
possessions. (Surah 47, Muhammad, verses 35-36).
90) Thy Lord doth know that thou
standest forth (to prayer) nigh two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or
a third of the night, and so doth a party of those with thee. But Allah doth
appoint night and day in due measure He knoweth that ye are unable to keep count
hereof. So He hath turned to you (in mercy): read ye, therefore, of the Qur´an
as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some) among you
in ill-health; others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's bounty;
yet others fighting in Allah's Cause, read ye, therefore, as much of the Qur´an
as may be easy (for you); and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity;
and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan. And whatever good ye send forth for your
souls, ye shall find it in Allah's Presence,- yea, better and greater, in
Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most
Merciful.(Surah 73, Al-Muzzammil, verse 20).
91) And they have been commanded
no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true
(in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practice regular charity; and
that is the Religion Right and Straight. (Surah 98, Al-Bayyinah, verse 5).
92) It is not righteousness that
ye turn your faces Towards East or West; but it is righteousness to believe in
Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to
spend of your substance, out of love for
Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who
ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice
regular charity; to fulfil the contracts
which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and
adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth,
the Allah fearing. (Surah 1, Al-Baqarah, verse 177).
93) O ye
who believe! When ye hold secret counsel, do it not for iniquity and hostility,
and disobedience to the Prophet; but do it for righteousness and self
restraint; and fear Allah, to Whom ye shall be brought back. (Surah 58,
Al-Mujadilah, verse 9).
94) Alms are for the
poor and the needy, and those employed to administer the (funds); for those

95) Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's
Apostle said, "Anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should not
harm his neighbor, and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should
entertain his guest generously and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last
Day should talk what is good or keep quiet. (i.e. abstain from all kinds of
evil and dirty talk). (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 73, Number 47; Book of
Adab).
96) Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's
Apostle said, "Do not hate one another, nor be jealous of one another; and
do notdesert one another, but O Allah's worshipers! Be Brothers! And it is
unlawful for a Muslim to desert his brother Muslim (and not to talk to him) for
more than three nights.” (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 73, Number 99; Book of
Adab).
97) Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir: I heard Allah's Apostle (Peace
be upon him) saying, 'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between
them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no
knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things
saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious
things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private
pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O
people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is
His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body,
if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good, but if it gets
spoilt the whole body gets spoilt, and that is the heart. (Sahih Bukhari: Volume

1. Vain talks, (useless talk) that you talk too much or about others. 2.

104) Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon him) said,
"Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing
fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave
foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he
should tell him twice, 'I am fasting." The Prophet (Peace be upon him) added,
"By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of
a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah
says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My
sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the

"No doubt, you had better gather a bundle of wood and carry it on your

106) Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba: The Prophet (Peace be upon

hated for you (1) vain, useless talk, or that you talk too much about others,

be upon him) saying, "Every one of you is a guardian, and responsible for
what is in his custody. The ruler is a guardian of his subjects and responsible
for them; a husband is a guardian of his family and is responsible for it; a
lady is a guardian of her husband's house and is responsible for it, and a
servant is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for it."
I heard that from Allah's Apostle and I think that the Prophet (Peace be upon
him) also said, "A man is a guardian of his father's property and is
responsible for it, so all of you are guardians and responsible for your wards

108) Narrated 'Abdullah bin Umar: Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon
him) said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not

needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever brought his
(Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the
discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever screened a Muslim, Allah

109) Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald: I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib

following:-- (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health), (2)
to follow funeral processions, (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be
merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"), (4) to
return greetings, (5) to help the oppressed, (6) to accept invitations, (7) to

guest generously by giving him his reward." It was asked. "What is

longer, what he will be provided with will be regarded as Sadaqa (a charitable
gift). And anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is

'Ubada bin As-Samit: Allah's Apostle (Peace be upon
him) said to us while we were in a gathering, "Give me the oath

to kill your children, (5) Not to accuse an innocent person (to spread such an
accusation among people), (6) Not to be disobedient (when ordered) to do good
deeds. The Prophet added: Whoever amongst you fulfills his pledge, his reward
will be with Allah, and whoever commits any of those sins and receives the
legal punishment in this world for that sin, then that punishment will be an
expiation for that sin, and whoever commits any of those sins and Allah does
not expose him, then it is up to Allah, if He wishes He will punish him or if
